I'll always have a soft spot for my couples who met as kids. And yes, I'm projecting because I did that at 18, but Catie and Bryan have me beat. Their story began a decade ago when they were just 14.

Every relationship is special in its own right, but something unique happens when you literally grow up with the love of your life. It forms a particular connection that, I believe, can't be formed another way. It's a weird, wonderful experience to enter adulthood together. You inform so much of one another's personalities, interests, and quirks. You become family long before any marriage ceremony makes it official. If you, like Catie and Bryan, are lucky enough to have a love like this, you have been given something very special and very rare in this life.

During their vows, Catie and Bryan told each other "We grew up together, now we get to grow old together." I don't think I'll ever forget it because it was one of the most moving ceremonies I've seen.

I don't feel it's accurate to say this is the beginning for them, because their love story is well underway. This is their next chapter. I hope it's their best one yet.
