Two years ago I had the best time shooting Katherine and Luke’s gorgeous wedding at Bristol Harbor. I was so, so excited when an email from Katherine popped up in my inbox a few weeks back. We planned a couples’ session at Highland Forest with their two beautiful dogs, and we crossed our fingers that we’d get a nice day.
Winter decided it was going to arrive like two months early this year, so when our date arrived, we had freezing temperatures and snow. I would like to personally pat all three of us (five of us…can’t forget Rex and Nemo) on the back for being the world’s biggest troopers out there hiking that frozen forest. As a result we ended up with these absolutely lovely shots, and I got to spend some time hanging out with these two awesome people again. The low light, towering trees, and reflective snow (as much as I hate snow, it does get a shout-out for being a great reflector) combined to create a unique, dreamy, beautiful setting. And we all agreed it was worth it.
